Haven Dog Training

Haven Dog Training was founded on a simple belief: every dog is capable of greatness with the right guidance. Based in Broussard, Louisiana, but has trained dogs in several states, and even Japan. Haven works with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments — from energetic puppies to complex behavior cases.

What sets Haven apart isn't just the experience or credentials — it's the philosophy. Our approach is not the assembly line, 'one-type-suites-all'. Instead, the focus is on both ends of the leash; the dog and handler - as a team. We use adaptive and psychology-based methods based on the individual dog and their needs. This is practical training to assist the dog and handler in developing a line of communication, mutual understanding, and enjoy a better life together without excess frustration for either. Our mutual goal will be your dog 'wanting' to work with you and learning how to make good decisions for life.

Haven holds certification, not only as a Trainer, but also as a "Trainer of Trainers", as well as the distinction as both an AKC and UKC registered evaluator. For several years, Haven has been recognized as one of the best rated dog trainers in every area they have worked, a reflection of the results clients experience firsthand.

Whether you're starting from scratch with a new puppy, working through a challenging behavior, or preparing your dog for therapy work, Haven brings the same level of dedication and expertise to every session.
